Vision – The world through your eyes
In 1985, photojournalist Steve McCurry took the iconic photograph of the Afghan Girl, Sharbat Gula, it appeared on the June cover of National Geographic. The image has been likened to Leonardo da Vinci‘s painting of the Mona Lisa. 36 years after the iconic photograph was taken, I still haven’t forgotten those piercing green eyes that drew the world’s attention to the turmoil in Afghanistan. In a way, the world saw through her eyes.
